Vennefron Signs is a third generation family business founded by Bernie Vennefron, a local artist who specialized in design and hand-lettering for transportation vehicles, large construction equipment... cranes and dirt equipment as well as custom signage.
In keeping with tradition, Vennefron Signs still offers custom lettering and signs using a variety of modern processes ranging from cut vinyl lettering to large-format digital images on top of the line quality Oracal materials.
Vennefron Signs continues today as a family-owned and operated business with national reach.
Bernie Vennefron began his career in the sign business mixing paint for Ohio Signs Company in Cincinnati. From there, he worked for Lackner Signs and Ralph Rice Signs until 1955, after which he began working for Wagner signs in Covington, KY
In 1964 he left to start his own company—Vennefron Signs. Bernie was a master at hand-lettered show cards, vehicles and store fronts, and was one of the best gold leaf artists in the area.
In 1978 his son Jerry Vennefron joined the business and eventually took it over when Bernie retired in 1982.
Jerry had three daughters—Stacey, Janet and Michelle. As business grew, Michelle began working for the company in 1988 and was joined by Stacey in 1993. Jim Pangallo (married to Janet Vennefron) was also a veteran employee of Vennefron.
In 2006 Jerry retired and turned the company over to the third generation of Vennefrons—Michelle, Stacey and son-in-law Jim.
Janet (Vennefron) Pangallo joined the company in 2008 when Vennefron’s services were expanded to include silk screened apparel.
