Bernie Vennefron began his career in the sign business mixing paint for Ohio Signs Company in Cincinnati. From there, he worked for Lackner Signs and Ralph Rice Signs until 1955, after which he began working for Wagner signs in Covington, KY

1964
In 1964 he left to start his own company—Vennefron Signs. Bernie was a master at hand-lettered show cards, vehicles and store fronts, and was one of the best gold leaf artists in the area.

1978
In 1978 his son Jerry Vennefron joined the business and eventually took it over when Bernie retired in 1982.

1988
Jerry had three daughters—Stacey, Janet and Michelle. As business grew, Michelle began working for the company in 1988 and was joined by Stacey in 1993. Jim Pangallo (married to Janet Vennefron) was also a veteran employee of Vennefron.

2006
In 2006 Jerry retired and turned the company over to the third generation of Vennefrons—Michelle, Stacey and son-in-law Jim. Janet (Vennefron) Pangallo joined the company in 2008 when Vennefron’s services were expanded to include silk screened apparel.
